VERSION INFORMATION
-----------------------------------------

This readme file corresponds to The Seasons Mod v1.6.1_3. It is not to be edited, deleted, or replaced in part or in whole,
and is to be distributed with all copies of The Seasons Mod v1.6.1_3.

The Seasons Mod v1.6.1_3 is for Minecraft 1.4.6, and should support multi-player game-play, both from a client and from a
dedicated server. All clients must have the mod in order to connect to a server that uses it. As of v1.6.1_1, however, some
specific older versions on clients are compatible with this version on servers. More details are under CLIENT-SERVER COMPATIBILITY.

The codename for The Seasons Mod v1.6.1_3 is "Stars". This release being a part of the game that started with v1.6.1 on the forum
for this mod, http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/1482770- , does not have it's explanation for naming revealed at time of release.

HOW TO INSTALL
-----------------------------------------

To install this mod, install the required version of Forge, then put the mod's files into the Minecraft jar.

The files "abb.class", "amq.class", "pg.class", "xy.class", "yc.class", and "yy.class" are required.
"zq.class" is completely optional and only makes the Minecraft file use better coding style.

UPGRADING WORLDS FROM A PREVIOUS VERSION
-----------------------------------------

To upgrade a world from a version before v1.6, including the entire v2 series, delete the Seasons.dat file for the
world before loading with this version. Failure to do so will cause unwanted effects to arise within that world.
To upgrade a world from v1.6, simply play the world with v1.6.1_3. All new save data will be written as needed with their default
settings.
Seasons.dat is located in the world's folder. For servers, the world's folder is in the server's directory. For clients,
the world's folder is in the saves folder inside the Minecraft directory.
Seasons
For v1.6.0 or v1.6.1 worlds, there is no changes to saved information. Simply play as normal.

CLIENT-SERVER COMPATIBILITY
-----------------------------------------

New as of v1.6.1_1, there is server-based client compatibility code. This code aims to allow for minimal backwards compatibility
with other editions for the same version of Minecraft. This is still new code, and should not be relied on. Under this code,
clients with slightly outdated versions of The Seasons Mod compared to the server should be able to connect. There is no code for
such in the other direction, when it is the server that is outdated.

For this version of The Seasons Mod, v1.6.1_3, "Stars", the following versions are coded to not conflict. Please
note that "not conflict" and "compatible" are not always the same, as issues may technically still arise.
     v1.6.1 - "Find the Truth"
     v1.6.1_1 - "Hearth's Warming Eve"
     v1.6.1_2, "Void"

UPDATES TO THE MODIFICATION

SEMI-LEGAL NOTICE
-----------------------------------------

This mod is just that: a mod. Minecraft's ToS says, as copied on October thirty-first, 2012:

If you've bought the game, you may play around with it and modify it. We'd appreciate it if you didn't
use this for griefing, though, and remember not to distribute the changed versions of our software.
Basically, mods (or plugins, or tools) are cool (you can distribute those), hacked versions of the
Minecraft client or server are not (you can't distribute those).

Any tools you write for the game from scratch belongs to you. Other than commercial use (unless
specifically authorized by us in our brand and assets usage guidelines - for instance you are allowed
to put ads on your YouTube videos containing Minecraft footage), you're free to do whatever you want
with screenshots and videos of the game, but don't just rip art resources and pass them around, that's
no fun. Plugins for the game also belong to you and you can do whatever you want with them, as long as
you don't sell them for money. We reserve the final say regarding what constitutes a tool/plugin and
      what doesn't.

This modification entails only the new content that it adds to Minecraft. As such, this mod is not distributed with the rest
of Minecraft, and only the edited .class files are distributed with this modification.

The Terms of Service for this mod are the same as the Terms of Service for Minecraft, wherever applicable.
